Nokia G20 | Unboxing and Features Explored!

nokia g20

at the top there's the device i have it
here in glacier
or what they refer to as silver for some
reason
[Music]
sim removal tool
[Music]
safety booklets
jelly case
10 watts charging brick
[Music]
headset
[Music]
and usbc charging cable
now let's have a look at the hardware
trusted always secure and built to last
and the phone also comes with a screen
protector pre-installed
[Music]
[Applause]
[Music]
oh
[Music]
so the phone comes in two colors either
this glacier
silver color or a color that they refer
to as night
which is very similar to the one i have
here on the nokia g10 but
apparently it's not exactly the same
[Music]
which color do you prefer let me know in
the comments
down below
[Music]
okay so while we wait for the phone to
install the applications let's quickly
cover the specs
on the front there is a 6.5 inch ips lcd
display with an hd plus resolution
it comes with an aspect ratio of 20 by
9.
of course there is also a v-notch at the
top which houses an 8-megapixel
front-facing camera
and the glass is 2.5 d glass so it
curves
very slightly at the edges on the back
you have a quad camera setup
with a 48 megapixel main camera a 5
megapixel ultra white camera
a 2 megapixel micro camera yay
and a 2 megapixel depth sensor and
there's also led flash
under the camera pump the back also
houses
a massive 5050 milliamp
battery capacity which nokia mobile
advertises as lasts
up to 3 days the top of the phone houses
a
3.5 millimeter headphone jack as well as
a microphone the bottom side of the
phone houses
another microphone usb c port for
charging
and a single mono bottom firing speaker
on the right side there is a fingerprint
scanner that's integrated into the power
button
as well as the volume rockers
nice and clicky the left hand side
houses the dual sim slot
and an sd card slot as well as the
google assistant button
what do you guys think about this
glacier color let me know in the
comments
i'm actually really digging it so the
phone is made completely out of plastic
but the edges are quite thick so the
phone feels very solid in the hand
and the back also is made out of
matte finish and plastic as well but
it has a nano 3d texture as
nokia mobile likes to call it let's see
if we can get it on camera
[Music]
the nokia logo is etched into the matte
finish yeah i'm really digging the color
and build quality seems as solid as
you'd expect
it's very similar to the g10 but i like
this color a lot more
than the night color it's pretty cool
[Music]
the phone is powered by the mediatek g35
cpu which is a quad-core cpu with a53
cores clocked at 2.3 gigahertz so it's
clocked higher than the g10 which should
reflect
in slightly better performance there is
four gigs of ram
built in as well as 128
gigs of built-in storage on this
particular unit
and the phone ships with android 11 out
of the box
and it's a part of the android one
program so you can expect to get
two years of os updates as well as three
years of security updates which is a key
selling point for a device of this price
range
so let's compare the g20 against
some of its other nokia siblings in
terms of dimensions
identical to the g10 as you can see
it's smaller than the big x20
slightly bigger than the nokia 5.4
with its 6.39 inch display
and just for fun this is the lumia 930
with its 5
inch oled display
you can see how big phones are becoming
these days
and of course banana for scale because
that's
very important
[Music]
okay now that everything's set up i can
just tell you immediately that this
phone feels
a lot quicker than the nokia g10 when it
comes to just scrolling around the
interface
as well as accessing and browsing on
social media so that's a very good sign
so let's play around with camera a
little bit
and discover the interface so the
interface is pretty simple
we have a photo we have video
portrait and
night and then in the more section you
have panorama
time lapse as well as macro the maximum
resolution from both cameras
is 1080p front and back
so let's take a picture
[Music]
[Music]
i mean in studio lighting the picture
actually looks pretty decent
if you ask me
[Music]
of course the ultrawide camera is only
going to be as good as the megapixels it
has
which are five so i don't expect a lot
of details
yep you can immediately see that the
quality
is quite poor but it does give you that
extra field of view
so for fun let's actually try a game so
i already downloaded that cells so let's
give it a shot
so what are my first impressions for
start the build quality is super solid
as you'd expect the phone feels quite
dense
because it is it weighs 197 grams
the main camera seems promising from
this very early test but of course
further testing is required but i do
expect it to be one of the key selling
points for such a device
the android one experience which is
quite lightweight as well as the two
years of os updates is also a big
selling point for this device
and of course you have the massive 5050
milliamp
battery capacity which they advertise as
three days
and of course further testing is
required but
this is definitely one of the key
selling points of this device
and then there is the overall
performance the mediatek helio g35 isn't
exactly class leading when it comes to
gaming
or when it comes to benchmarks but the
performance here
is a lot more in line with what you'd
expect with a modern smartphone
and it should be okay for most users
definitely not for gaming though g is
definitely not for gaming with the g20
oh and if you have any questions about
the g20 feel free to ask them in the
comment section down below
as well as what you would like to see
from the full review
so that's it for me i hope you guys
enjoyed this video

i'll see you in the next one
